Acupuncture

Acupuncture and headaches

When acupuncture is a reasonable option for headache patterns — and when Kyla Phillips will send you to Steve Hall or your GP instead.

Different headaches, different doors

Steve sees many headache presentations osteopathically. I see people whose pattern sits with stress, hormonal change, or a history that already includes acupuncture. We are in the same building. You do not have to pick a tribe.

Evidence without oversell

NICE has considered acupuncture in some headache and migraine contexts over the years; guidance evolves. I will describe what I can offer in clinic, not quote a miracle statistic.

Safety

Sudden severe headache, headache with neurological signs, or a changing pattern needs medicine first. Always.

This article is general information for people considering care at Health at Hart in Hartley Wintney. It is not a diagnosis, a prescription, or a promise of outcome. If you have sudden, severe or unexplained symptoms — including chest pain, unexplained weight loss, night pain, bowel or bladder changes, or a new neurological problem — seek urgent medical advice (NHS 111 or 999). UK osteopaths are regulated by the General Osteopathic Council. Counsellors named here are BACP-registered where stated. Always check with your GP or insurer if you are unsure whether a treatment is appropriate for you.
