Osteopathy

Fibromyalgia: an adjunct, not a cure

How osteopathy can sit beside GP care for widespread pain — without promising to undo a diagnosis.

A peaceful cream bedroom

Symptoms and what they can mean

Widespread tenderness, non-restorative sleep, foggy days. A diagnosis should come from a doctor. Osteopaths sometimes see people who have the pattern without a label yet — I still will not invent one.

What we can do in clinic

Gentle treatment, pacing advice, and not flaring you for three days. Counselling in this clinic can help the load of living with it. I will not sell a detox.

Red flags and when to see your GP

New neurological signs or a previously stable picture that suddenly changes needs medical review. Medication stays with your prescriber.

This article is general information for people considering care at Health at Hart in Hartley Wintney. It is not a diagnosis, a prescription, or a promise of outcome. If you have sudden, severe or unexplained symptoms — including chest pain, unexplained weight loss, night pain, bowel or bladder changes, or a new neurological problem — seek urgent medical advice (NHS 111 or 999). UK osteopaths are regulated by the General Osteopathic Council. Counsellors named here are BACP-registered where stated. Always check with your GP or insurer if you are unsure whether a treatment is appropriate for you.
