Osteopathy

Knee osteoarthritis and stairs

The descent is worse than the climb — osteopathy, quadriceps, and when injection or surgery is a GP/ortho conversation.

Symptoms and what they can mean

Stiffness after sitting, a grind, swelling by evening. Stairs, especially down, tell the truth. Giving way needs a proper look for other causes too.

What we can do in clinic

I treat hip and ankle so the knee is not isolated. Strength is the disease-modifying bit we have — Deborah’s programmes are built for it. I will not sell a miracle oil.

Red flags and when to see your GP

A hot swollen knee, locking, or a recent twist with a pop — medical or physio-ortho pathway, not hope.
