Symptoms and what they can mean

A diagnosis of migraine should already exist or be in process. Aura, vomiting, days in a dark room. A first thunderclap headache is not migraine until a doctor says so.

What we can do in clinic

Courses of treatment are more informative than a one-off. Keep your preventer unless your neurologist changes it. Steve may treat a neck contribution in the same building.

Red flags and when to see your GP

Worst-ever sudden headache, fever, rash, or neurological deficit — 999 or A&E.
