Osteopathy
Lifting a grandchild from a car seat is a sport — Steve Hall on backs that had retired, then did not.

A lumbar reminder after a weekend of floor play. A shoulder from a travel cot. Joy, and a body that had a quieter diary last year.
We treat the strain and we talk about hip hinges, car-seat height and the permission to sit on a chair. Cranial work helps some people recover from the fatigue of being needed again.
If you are on blood thinners, say so. If chest pain arrives while lifting, that is 999, not a grandchild anecdote.
This article is general information for people considering care at Health at Hart in Hartley Wintney. It is not a diagnosis, a prescription, or a promise of outcome. If you have sudden, severe or unexplained symptoms — including chest pain, unexplained weight loss, night pain, bowel or bladder changes, or a new neurological problem — seek urgent medical advice (NHS 111 or 999). UK osteopaths are regulated by the General Osteopathic Council. Counsellors named here are BACP-registered where stated. Always check with your GP or insurer if you are unsure whether a treatment is appropriate for you.
