Counselling

Short-term and long-term counselling

Jamie Blackall, BACP-registered integrative counsellor, on choosing a brief piece of work or a longer relationship with therapy.

Both are legitimate

Some people need six sessions to get through a particular storm. Some need a longer, quieter relationship with a therapist. I work with adults on both a short- and long-term basis. Neither is more “serious”.

How we decide

In the introductory call we talk about what you want to be different, not only what hurts. If a brief piece of work is honest, I will not sell you a year.

Practicalities

I work Monday to Friday, including early morning, lunchtime and evening appointments. In person or online. 07538 874344 or jamespblackall@icloud.com. Please ask about fees when you get in touch.
