Sleep stolen by a thread. Friendships that live in screenshots. A self-image built from other people’s holidays. Panic when the phone is in another room — or panic when it is in the hand.
I will not confiscate a phone in a 50-minute session. We talk about what the feed is doing to mood, belonging and sleep, and what a slightly kinder digital life could look like. Parents get a parallel conversation when that helps.
Cyberbullying that includes threats, or a young person who is not safe — police and safeguarding, not only therapy.
