Anxiety in adults: when to talk to someone

When worry becomes a life, not a moment — Katie Green on counselling for anxiety at a private clinic in Hartley Wintney.

Anxiety is a body state as well as a thought

You can be functioning at work and still be exhausted by scanning for danger. Counselling is a place to slow that down without a family member telling you to “just stop worrying”.

I am not an emergency service

If you feel unable to keep yourself safe, call 999 or NHS 111, or use Samaritans on 116 123. Therapy with me is for people who can make it to a 50-minute session and want to understand what is going on.

Alongside acupuncture or GP care

Some clients also see Kyla for acupuncture, or are on medication from their GP. That can sit together. I will not interfere with your prescription.

This article is general information for people considering care at Health at Hart in Hartley Wintney. It is not a diagnosis, a prescription, or a promise of outcome. If you have sudden, severe or unexplained symptoms — including chest pain, unexplained weight loss, night pain, bowel or bladder changes, or a new neurological problem — seek urgent medical advice (NHS 111 or 999). UK osteopaths are regulated by the General Osteopathic Council. Counsellors named here are BACP-registered where stated. Always check with your GP or insurer if you are unsure whether a treatment is appropriate for you.
