Counselling

Workplace stress and therapy

Hybrid jobs, thin teams and a Sunday dread — counselling that is confidential, not a performance review.

What this can look like

Sunday evening tightness. Sleep that breaks at 4am with a spreadsheet. Irritability at home that belongs at work. Occupational health forms you have not opened.

How counselling can help

What you say here is not reported to your manager. We can look at boundaries, burnout and the beliefs that make you the person who always picks it up. I am not HR and I will not write your resignation for you — unless that is the work, and then we do it carefully.

When it is more than counselling

Chest pain, collapse, or a panic that will not settle — medical first. If your workplace has an EAP, you can use both; they do not cancel each other.

This article is general information for people considering care at Health at Hart in Hartley Wintney. It is not a diagnosis, a prescription, or a promise of outcome. If you have sudden, severe or unexplained symptoms — including chest pain, unexplained weight loss, night pain, bowel or bladder changes, or a new neurological problem — seek urgent medical advice (NHS 111 or 999). UK osteopaths are regulated by the General Osteopathic Council. Counsellors named here are BACP-registered where stated. Always check with your GP or insurer if you are unsure whether a treatment is appropriate for you.
